Dear Sir,
I received your most welcome letter yesterday, for which I thank you very much. I am keeping in first class health, and just now having rather an easy time. The weather is beautiful, one could not wish for better, and unlike the library this job lets me have the full benefit of it. I am pleased to hear all the other boys are getting on well but am sorry to hear Capt. Simpson63 isn't quite better yet. Anyhow he is in a shell proof regiment now, and not likely to get a second dose of shell shock. Capt. Coulson is quite convenient to me, I am thinking of looking him up. I am very sorry to hear about Miss Miller64 , I hope she will soon be up and doing. I sincerely believe I will be applying for my old position in Donegall Rd. before next Easter, and I will not be sorry either for I am absolutely fed up with this class of life. I am at a loss for something further to write about, so I will conclude hoping to hear from you at your convenience.
I remain
Your obedient servant
J.F. Eagleson
J.B. Goldsbrough Esq.
