31st July, 1916
Dear Fitzsimons,
Very pleased to have your interesting letter which I read to the Branch Librarians, Mr Goldsbrough and Miss Miller166 .
You are certainly in the thick of your work now, and it is quite evident that the Medical Corps is accomplishing wonders with our wounded soldiers. You are having a wonderful experience yourself in all these happenings in front of you and around you. I have no doubt you will eventually come through it all with a greatly increased experience and wider view of life generally.
I was glad to have a copy of your post card photograph, which I have at present in my office here.
With kind regards,
Wishing you all success,
I am,
Yours sincerely,
CHIEF LIBRARIAN
Private J. Fitzsimons
41st Casualty Clearing Station,
British Expeditionary Force
