Mr. J. McCausland
Royal Irish Rifles
Attached to 5th R.I. Regt.,
10th Division,
Salonika Forces.

Dear McCausland,

I was very much pleased to get your post card from Italy and your letter card from the troop ship which you sent to me, to let me know that you were alive and well and on your way to a new scene of activity. I hope you will have as good luck in your new sphere of operation as you had in France, and will come safely through.

It is so short a time since you were here that I have really no news to tell you about the Library or Staff except that Miss Miller has resumed part time duty, and Brown has transferred from the N.I.H. to the R.I.F. His Present address is-

No.9/41451
9th R.I. Fusiliers,
26th Division, Depot Batt.,
B.E.F., France

With best wishes for a pleasant Christmas and a prosperous New Year, if this reaches you in time.

I remain,

Yours very sincerely,

JBG

Acting-Chief Librarian
