Armagh City Library will welcome acclaimed author and storyteller Doreen McBride on Tuesday 29 July at 5:00pm for the launch of her latest book, The A-Z of Curious Northern Ireland: Strange Stories of Mysteries, Crimes and Eccentrics (The History Press).

The popular author will be introduced by Anne Hailes MBE, well-known broadcaster and journalist on the evening. In her signature lively and humorous style, Doreen’s new book delves into the unusual and sometimes eccentric stories that make Northern Ireland unique – from remarkable people to curious events and hidden histories. The collection is both entertaining and informative, making it the perfect book to dip into again and again.

Doreen McBride is an internationally recognised, award-winning storyteller whose work has featured on television and radio, including The Late Late Show. She is the author of numerous books, and her plays have been produced by BBC Radio Ulster and Centre Stage.
