Art and at Bangor Carnegie Library this May 2025Bangor Carnegie Library is hosting two exciting cultural events this May, showcasing local talent and offering something for all interests.

Art Allsorts – Abstract Art Exhibition
From Wednesday 7 to Saturday 31 May 2025, drop into the library during opening hours to see Art Allsorts, a stunning abstract art exhibition by local artists S P J Mawhinney, Wendy Doyle and A J Mawhinney. This family-friendly display brings together vibrant and thought-provoking pieces and is free to view with no booking required.

The Slipping Forecast – Poetry Reading with Ross Thompson
On Saturday 10 May from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, join us for a special poetry reading as local writer Ross Thompson launches his latest collection, The Slipping Forecast. This relaxed afternoon event offers an opportunity to hear Ross read his new work and reflect on the stories behind the poems.

Both events are free to attend.
