Christmas Stories and Festive Folklore in Dundonald Library
Published 01 Dec 2025

Dundonald Library will welcome storyteller Mabel Jenkins on Wednesday 10 December for a special storytelling and reminiscence session celebrating Christmas memories, traditions and folklore. The free event will run from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, and booking is advisable.
Visitors can look forward to an engaging hour of stories inspired by festive customs from years gone by. As a former visitor guide at the Ulster Folk Museum in Cultra, Mabel brings a wealth of knowledge about folklore, country ways and seasonal traditions, offering a warm and nostalgic opportunity for adults to reflect, reminisce and share their own memories of Christmas time.
The session is being delivered in partnership with Armstrong Storytellers as part of the Making Connections Series.
Dundonald Library staff are looking forward to welcoming customers along for this unique festive event and encourage anyone interested to reserve a place by contacting the library on
