Family Fun Day with Author and Illustrator Paul Howard in Tandragee Library
Published 10 Oct 2025
Families are invited to join Libraries NI for a special Family Fun Day in Tandragee Library on Saturday 25 October, featuring award-winning children’s author and illustrator Paul Howard.
Paul is best known for illustrating the much-loved classic The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and the popular Burpee Bears series. His lively sessions bring stories to life and inspire children to explore their creativity through words and pictures.
The fun begins with a Paul Howard Character Hunt from 10:20am to 10:50am, where children can search the library to spot some of Paul’s most famous characters. This will be followed by a Family Storytime and Drawing Workshop from 11:00am to 12 noon, giving families the chance to listen to Paul share one of his stories and take part in a fun, creative drawing activity together.
To round off the morning, children can take part in a special Owl or Pumpkin Lego Club session from 12 noon to 12:45pm, building creations inspired by Paul’s books and illustrations.
All activities are free and suitable for families with children aged 4 and over. Booking is advised for the Storytime and Drawing Workshop.
