Published 11 Nov 2025

Banbridge Library is hosting a festive Family Fun Day on Saturday 6 December and everyone is invited to call in and join the celebrations. The library will be full of stories, crafts, games and seasonal cheer, with activities running throughout the day for children and families to enjoy together.
The day begins with a magical Christmas storytelling session from Mr Hullabaloo from 10:30am to 11:30am, where young visitors can meet well-loved puppet characters and enjoy heartwarming tales. This session is suitable for children aged 4 to 8 and booking is essential.
In the afternoon, storyteller Vicky McFarland from Tale-Time-Stories will lead two special sessions.
2:00pm – 2:50pm: Christmas Storytime (ages 4 – 8), booking essential
3:00pm – 3:30pm: Sensory Storytime followed by free play until 3:50pm (suitable for under 10s), booking essential.
Families can also drop in between 12 noon and 1:30pm for Lunchtime Lego and board games. There will be jigsaws, building challenges and lots of relaxed play for all ages. Refreshments and colouring sheets will be available in the library throughout the day.
