Free Halloween Fun in Libraries This Half Term

Looking for ways to keep the kids busy this half term without spending a fortune? Local libraries across Northern Ireland are here to help — with a week full of free Halloween-themed fun for children and families.
From Storytimes and spooky crafts to fancy dress discos and frightfully fun family days, there’s something happening in libraries to keep every little reader entertained.
Families can drop in to enjoy stories, games, creative activities and a friendly, welcoming space — all completely free of charge. It’s the perfect way to make magical memories together during the school break, whatever the weather.
A few highlights include:
- Mr Bones’ Halloween Disco in Randalstown Library – Dust off your dance moves and join in the fun on Wednesday 29 October from 11:00am to 12 noon. Fancy dress encouraged!
- Frighteningly Fun Day in Holywood Arches Library – A full day of spooks and surprises on Thursday 30 October from 10:30am to 3:30pm, with magical entertainment and activities for children aged 4–12.
- The Great Halloween Library Bash in Whitehead Library – Celebrate Halloween in style on Friday 31 October, with party games, a multimedia experience and plenty of creative fun from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
