Have Your Say on the Future of Rathcoole Library
Published 25 Nov 2025
Rathcoole Library is set to undergo refurbishment, and local residents are being invited to have their say on the plans.
A Community Feedback Session will take place in Rathcoole Library on Tuesday 2 December, with members of the public welcome to drop in anytime between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Visitors will be able to preview the refurbishment plans and share what matters most to them – from preferred opening hours to the types of events and activities they would like to see in the refurbished library.
If you haven’t visited in a while, this is a great opportunity to stop by and update your membership, ensuring you can continue to enjoy our alternative services while the refurbishment is underway.
Feel free to bring a friend or family member who isn’t yet a member – the team will be on hand to sign them up on the day and answer any questions.
Rebecca Gibney-Preece, Libraries NI Area Manager, said:
“Libraries are at the heart of their communities, and this refurbishment will make sure Rathcoole Library continues to be a welcoming and modern space for everyone. We want to hear from local people so that the services and activities reflect the needs of the whole community.”
