Libraries Across Northern Ireland to Offer Vital Information and Support Services during November
Published 12 Nov 2024

People attending a talk in a libraryThroughout November, Libraries NI is hosting a series of informative events and support sessions in libraries across Northern Ireland. With a wide range of expert-led talks and information stands, this initiative brings together local organisations and essential services to offer valuable guidance, and practical help to local communities.

Whether it’s assistance with financial aid and employment opportunities, advice on health and wellbeing, or resources for family support, this collaborative approach ensures that everyone – from parents to job seekers, and older people – can access meaningful support and practical solutions to a range of issues, especially during a season when many may be preparing for winter expenses and planning for the months ahead.

The programme includes support from organisations such as Land & Property Services, Universal Credit and Job Support Services, RNID, Samaritans, Red Cross, and Community Advice.

Dr Jim O’Hagan, Chief Executive of Libraries NI said:

“Libraries have always been a reliable space for community support, and this November, we are here to help people connect with the resources and assistance they need.

“By focusing on issues that matter, like rates relief, hearing support, and family wellness, we are helping people find real solutions to everyday challenges. Each session is free and open to everyone, and all advice is provided by knowledgeable professionals who understand the needs of local communities”.
