Positively Palliative Book Launch and Readings

Libraries NI is inviting the public to the Positively Palliative Book Launch and Readings event in Belfast Central Library on Thursday 7 December at 2:00pm and in Glengormley Library on Monday 11 December at 2:30pm.
The 'Positively Palliative' book provides a remarkable collection of stories, poems, and heartfelt notes that delve into the profound journey of palliative care. The book is described as a testament to the incredible power of empathy and compassion, as it explores the courage, love, and understanding that are essential in navigating this challenging process. By sharing these stories, the book will hopefully shed a light on the beauty and strength that can be found in the midst of difficult circumstances.
During the events some of the contributors will share from their own experiences and insights. This is an opportunity to connect with others who have navigated this challenging process in a welcoming and trusted library space.
These events are free, but booking is advisable.

Omagh Library Creative Space
Libraries NI is offering local artists, designers and photographers a unique opportunity to use a Creative Space rent free for a year. To support local creativity within the community, Libraries NI is providing two spaces of over 12 square metres in Omagh Regional Administration Centre which can be used for creative purposes, as a workshop or studio, with no rent requirements and all utilities supplied free of charge.

Changing Attitudes to Ageing Event in Omagh Library
On Monday 8 April from 1:30pm to 4:00pm, Omagh Library will host a unique event focusing on Changing Attitudes to Ageing for the people of Fermanagh and Omagh. Commissioner for Older People NI (COPNI), The Open University Ireland (OU) and Libraries NI are coming together to share the important message of embracing a proactive approach to ageing well.
