Platform Seven

Platform Seven by Louise Doughty

Anyone who has already read any of her previous books will like this one. The 'Platform Seven' in question is at Peterborough railway station. Two deaths on Platform Seven. Two fatalities in eighteen months - are they connected? No one is more desperate to understand what connects them than Lisa Evans, after all, she was the first one to die. Part mystery, part ghost story, Platform Seven had me hooked from the start. Themes of domestic and psychological abuse feature throughout. The author has done a wonderful job here by managing to convince the reader to suspend their disbelief and follow the story as it progresses through 2 different timelines (pre and post death of the main character). An intriguing mix of psychological thriller and ghost story - and much more. I loved it. A very enjoyable and engaging read.
