Suspects

Suspects by Lesley Pearse

A really enjoyable book that was so easy to read. Full of many different likeable and some not so likeable characters and a fantastic plot, made this a truly captivating and immersive read.

At times it was a bit much trying to remember who every coupe living on the close was, we have been introduced to them all and as there were so many it took a bit to think about who they each were again!

A young teenage girl’s body is found on the morning that Conrad and Nina move into their new home. Very quickly it becomes apparent that every resident of the close has secrets and many they do not want getting out. Did one of them kill Chloe to keep her quiet? It really could easily have been any of them, at a point I even thought it could have been Conrad and he had only just moved in!

The suspense was kept tight until the end and the explosive reveal, even then there was another surprise in store. The ending was sad, not sure really why it went like that or why it was felt that ending was needed.
