The Mirror & The Light by Hilary Mantel
This is the final part of the Wolf Hall trilogy which chronicles the rise and fall of Thomas Cromwell. After Anne Boleyn's execution Cromwell's star is on the rise. Henry showers him with riches and honours. However storm clouds are gathering, very subtly indicated by the hints the author weaves in to the narrative. Hilary Mantel never disappoints, again plunging the reader in to Tudor life, vividly describing the sights and sounds of Henry's court. This is a big read which will keep her fans entertained in the days ahead.
