The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe

The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe by David Leigh with Tony Hutchinson

I feel that this book is worth reading as it gives a deeper understanding of the Darwin’s lifestyle and depths that they went to as to devise a cunning and devious master plan to gain money from a fraudulent insurance scam.  But, just how much of this is actually true?

The book is written from a Journalists point of view containing detailed accounts of interviews and Police investigations that took place. The plot slowly unravels to uncover an incredible story of emotional bullying, deception and callous activities that affected the lives of their family and community members.

After reading the book, I found that my opinions and verdict have changed, compared to the television series.

Who do you believe?
