Derry Central Library
The main Cultural Heritage collection for County Londonderry is located in Derry Central Library. One of the most significant and interesting collections in Derry Central library is the Bigger and McDonald photograph archive. These photographs, drawn from the Derry Standard newspaper between 1927 and 1947, provide a remarkably detailed account of life in the north west before the outbreak of the World War Two.
There is also a substantial, but incomplete run of the Derry Almanac from 1871-1953, which is a valuable resource for genealogists tracing family history in this area.
