There are many reasons for students of all ages to make full use of their local libraries. Across Northern Ireland there are 96 branch libraries, many of which will have late night opening soon and study space available. In addition, the Out of Hours Service provides open access to some libraries outside of normal opening hours. Many of these libraries are in rural locations providing vital local services for students.

In each library, students can bring in their own devices as there are designated areas for plugging in or, if needed, there are computers which can be used. The computer use and access to Wi-Fi are both free for library members.

To support students, there are printing, photocopying and scanning facilities in every library and Digital Hubs have also been introduced offering communications software and privacy screens to facilitate watching lectures or talking to tutors.
