Temporary Closure Notice
Temporary Closure of Ballycastle Library for Refurbishment Work
Due to refurbishment work, Ballycastle Library will be closed on Monday 8 September for a period of approximately four weeks.
During this temporary closure, customers can visit any public library.

The planned refurbishment includes refreshed interiors, including updated décor, new flooring, improved ceilings and enhancements to staff facilities. These improvements are designed to create an even more welcoming and comfortable space for everyone to enjoy.
During the library closure, items can be renewed online with your library membership card and PIN number which is available from library staff. eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines can also be borrowed through our online library.

We invite you to join us for an informal, drop-in community feedback session on Thursday 4 September from 1:00pm - 7:00pm, as we prepare to refurbish Ballycastle Library.

• Suggest events and activities you’d like to see
• Help us create a Library that reflects the needs of our community

To be held monthly on a Saturday 12 (specific dates, please contact the library) from 11:00am to 12 noon. Booking is essential. Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 7 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends. |

Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 11:00am. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun! |

Knit and Natter |
Weekly every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new. |

Irish Language Conversation |

Tea and Newspapers |
Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Every Friday from 2:15pm - 4:30pm. |

Adult Reading Group |
Second Monday of every month from 11:00am – 12 noon. This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.
