Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea / coffee and biscuits / No Booking Required / Everyone welcome.

Knit and Natter  

Tuesday 11:30am-12:30pm.


Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Rhythm and Rhyme

First Thursday of the month from 4:00pm - 4:45pm.


Join Cloughfern Library junior reading group for primary school children. Read a book a month and enjoy a chat with others / No Booking Required.

Junk Art  

Join us in Cloughfern Library for a creative session using our Junk Art box.  Create your favourite book characters using recycled materials in this fun World Book Day junk art session. Those under 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Happy Birthday Dr Suess  

Join us in the library for a special creative workshop led by two talented artists from Wheelworks!  Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday in style with a colourful, imaginative art session inspired by his wonderful worlds, along with a lively themed Storytime.  
Expect fun, creativity, and plenty of Seuss style magic!

Come along to the library for free advice and support on: Universal Credit, CV and interview skills, job searching and applying for jobs. In partnership with the Newtownabbey Jobs and Benefits Office.
