Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
 
Enhance your well-being and calm the mind through relaxed meditative colouring. A gentle way to reduce stress using intricate colouring patterns and designs.

Knit and Natter  
Every Wednesday from 2:00pm and 3:30pm.

Phone to book.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

The Adult Reading Group is for 16's and over and gives an opportunity for adults to discuss their latest book.

Junior Reading Group  
Like books? Love Reading?

Join our Junior Book Club for children aged 9-11.

First Tuesday of the month from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

No need to book just come along.
Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Glengormley Dungeons and Dragons Group  

Join us Glengormley library for a ragtag of adventures in our weekly Dungeons and Dragons group. For age 18 and over. This group event takes place every Saturday.

Join us once a month to discuss your favourite crime books with fellow enthusiasts. From True Crime to Murder Mysteries we’ll look for the clues over a cup of coffee. Over 18’s’

Chess Drop-in
Every Tuesday morning from 10:00am – 12 noon.

Easter Scavenger Hunt  

Join us in Glengormley Library for an Easter themed Scavenger Hunt! Pick up your activity sheet from the front desk and explore the library to find all the hidden Easter images. 

This scavenger hunt is Autism Friendly. If you’d like support or information, please contact the library ahead of your visit or speak to a member of staff on the day — we’re happy to help.

Sporting Memories Café  

At Glengormley Library we’ll be taking a nostalgic look at the history of the Fifa World Cup over a cuppa. Join us as we reminisce with footage, quizzes and looking at local community involvement on the world’s biggest stage.

Gel Printing with Nature- Print Making Workshops  

Please note this event in now fully booked

 

Using nature and a few supplementary techniques you will learn how to create beautiful handmade prints using a gelatine or “gel” plate.  Have fun playing with print and creating your own mini collection.  Materials are provided and no experienced is required, but please bring a handful of gathered nature with you - such as different leaves, grasses, small stems (nothing thorny or spiky), to make your prints more personal.
