Peter Geoghegan is a local mixed media artist who uses a variety of mediums and materials to explore a range of themes around our rural and industrial landscape.

Discover mapping History. 
Explore our exhibition on the ordnance survey's first detailed mapping of Ireland, carried out 200 years ago. 
This exhibition is on tour with libraries NI until June 2027 and will be popping-up in many different locations.

Experienced felt maker and Feltmakers North member Deborah Woolsey, assisted by fellow member Deirdre Gallagher, will introduce participants to the art of wet felting. This is a fun, hands-on textile craft that uses wool fibres, water and friction to create beautiful felted fabrics. Participants will learn the basic techniques of wet felting and create two unique felted bookmarks, one to keep and another that could be given as a gift. 

All materials provided. Please bring a hand towel and plastic bag for taking your piece home. 

The workshop is designed for adults. It is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience.

An exhibition of paintings, drawings, printmaking, pressed plants and found objects that merge the beauty and science of botany, horticulture and art. 

For almost 200 years Belfast Botanic Gardens has been the heart of horticulture in the city. From exotic plants native to deep Amazonian jungles to ornate Victorian bedding displays, the history is rich. 

This exhibition explores these themes through a variety of media to express how the subject moves the artist. From detailed botanical illustrations and pressed plants to visceral oil paintings showing the motions of time and seasons, plants in their glass landscape or vistas across the gardens.

Join staff from award-winning Science & Discovery Centre W5 as they examine how animals survive life in the wild and learn some of the astounding ways they manage to find – or avoid becoming – the next meal!

Japanese-born Storyteller Masako Carey has been living in rural County Antrim since 2001. She has shared stories at festivals, in schools, libraries and museums.

Join us for an insightful talk exploring the devastating impact of four Luftwaffe air raids carried out on Northern Ireland in Spring 1941. 
The talk, delivered by Mark Wigton, Outreach Officer at the Northern Ireland War Memorial, will highlight why Belfast in particular was targeted and will feature first hand accounts describing four nights that would change the face of the city forever.
