Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:00pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:00am - 12 noon.


Drop in to relax and escape with a cup of tea or coffee while reading local newspapers.

Knit and Natter  

Every Thursday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

 

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Mindful Colouring  

Every Friday from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.


Drop into the branch between the hours above to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while doing some mindful colouring. Everyone welcome, booking is not required.

Exhibitions - The Splendid Press  

Come and see The Marcus Ward Collection usually held in Belfast Central library. The exhibition boasts a large collection of their many beautiful products, including illustrated books, cards and calendars, with the jewel in the crown being their unique and lavish illuminated manuscripts.

Exhibitions - The Reformation  

A joint project by Libraries NI and PRONI. It was done to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. However, the content is more than that and it focuses on documents and materials held by PRONI and items from the Fine Book Room in Belfast Central Library.

Days Gone By: Stories From The Film Archives  

Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive presents a selection of films of the local area, farming, schooldays and much more. Spot places and people you remember and share memories of how we used to live. The Digital Film Archive contains thousands of films of Ulster and Northern Ireland from the last 120 years, including television, film, home movies and more.

Careltons Country from the William Carelton Society  

Join the William Carleton Society for a reading of an extract from 'Neal Malone'. This humorous short story has been adapted by our Vice-President, Liam Foley and will be performed by The William Carleton Players. There will also be a short talk about Carleton and a reading of Carleton's poem 'Retrospections', with references to his childhood memories including Knockmany and Lumford's Glen.

Learn how to navigate the records, uncover hidden details, and discover tips for when someone seems to be missing from the census.

‘Fivemiletown: Three Centuries of History’ with Jack Johnston  

Jack Johnston, the Clogher Valley Historian will give a talk entitled Fivemiletown Three Centuries of History (1650-1950) This will be a powerpoint presentation and will deal with Hearth Rolls, Registry of Deeds sources, estate records and churches, the mail coaches and the railway. The talk will be accompanied by an exhibition of billheads relating to Fivemiletown. If you have an early billhead relating to the town you are encouraged to bring it along.
