R. Meyer, Esq.,
City Hall
Dear Sir,
In answer to your letter of 8th inst. 194 re Municipal Employees' Roll of Honour: only one member of our permanent staff has joined the Army since January 1916, viz. Patrick O'Rourke, (Private) who enlisted in the Mechanical Transport, A.S.C. in November 1917.
One of our temporary assistants, Robert Alexander, (Gunner) enlisted in the Royal Field Artillery in April, 1918, after being employed in the Library for about 3 1/2 years. I think he might be included in the list.
Yours truly,
JBG
Acting-Chief Librarian
