Sirs,
Having joined the Army on Monday last (15^th inst.) and being the first temporary assistant in the Public Library to do so, I desire, on this account, to bring before you for consideration, my case as regards reinstatement at the close of hostilities, or when I am discharged, according as circumstances may permit.
