In April last I answered some queries sent by you to the Town Clerk's Department of this City, with reference to Matthew Butler, who was an applicant for a post as Motorman in Leeds.

Since then I have had no communication from him, and shall be obliged if you can inform me if he is in the employment of the City of Leeds Tramways, and if so, how long he has been so employed.
