Dear Mr Elliott,
I wish to inform you that the War Office have posted me to a Second Lieutenancy in the 9th Batt. Royal Irish Rifles, & have instructed me to report for duty in Dublin on Wednesday next.
I should be grateful if you can make arrangements for the payment of whatever salary the Committee grant me to my sister, Miss Isabel Coulson, at present residing at 11, St Jude's Tce., South Shields.
