Dear Sir,

Just a few lines to let you know that I have arrived back in France safe and well. I had a fairly good journey, except the crossing to England which was very rough. I spent a day and night in London, and had a good time doing the sights etc.

Everything out here is as usual except that the general opinion is that the war will finish about Easter. We are having very bad weather just now. After a couple of days of sleet, a few days of snow followed, consequently everything is in a terrible mess. I have seen Capt. Coulson since I came back but I had since I came back but I had no opportunity of speaking to him. I hope Sir that you are enjoying the best health, as for myself I have no cause for complaint.

I remain
Yours sincerely
J.F. Eagleson

P.S. My address is as follows
