The Chief Librarian,

Sir

I'm very sorry I have failed to write you for such a long time, as you will see by address I'm employed in a prisoner of war camp & of course I'm on the move all day long.

I applied to be demobilised last week & up to time of writing I've had no reply but I expect to get clear about the end of this month.

I applied for a disability pension perhaps I may get it, I may not. My health is very bad at present. I don't feel at all well. I still suffer from the gas. I will let you know when I get my papers through.

I am Sir,

Yours respectfully

John McCausland
