14 October, 1915
My dear Roy, I was glad to receive your little note this morning. You do not tell me very much; I suppose you are afraid of the censor. However, short as it is I am glad to hear from you and trust you will not fail to keep in touch with me.
Perhaps you may meet with Captain Coulson, from whom I had a long letter the other day. As to Captain Simpson, if he is not already on the same soil as you, I think he is not far off.
Wishing you all success and Godspeed in your work,
I am,
Yours sincerely,
