Dear Warren,

Thank you for your letter of the 20^th inst. ⁴⁹ with your kind Christmas wishes on the Royal Scots Christmas card.

I have not heard from Mr. Simpson⁵⁰ for nearly three months, and do not know where he is. Previous to that time he was one of my regular correspondents.

I had a letter the other day from Captain Coulson who is still at the front, somewhere in France. He is expecting to get a Staff appointment.
