Dear Warren,

I was pleased to have your letter and really surprised that you had at last got near the firing line. I am glad to know that you have got your Belfast friend near you, and you should be fairly comfortable in your battalion. One of your number has certainly not been long in getting the M.C. We were very much amused at your getting hold of Simpson53 so quickly: you have indeed been very lucky.

With our kindest regards to you from all of us here.

I am,
Yours sincerely,

CHIEF LIBRARIAN

Mr M Warren
16th Royal Scots
British Expeditionary Force
