A Scandalous Tale of Love and Betrayal: Local History Talk at Dromore Library

Dromore Library is delighted to host an engaging and dramatic local history talk by acclaimed speaker Trevor Martin on Tuesday 3 December from 6:30pm until 7:30pm. Titled The Earl and the Gardener's Wife, this event promises an evening of intrigue, scandal and rich storytelling that will transport attendees to the heart of Georgian Dublin.
Trevor Martin will recount the astonishing true story of the Annesley family—a tale filled with love, deceit, betrayal, bigamy and even kidnapping. Attendees can expect a thrilling narrative of midnight chases and a very public court battle, all set against the backdrop of 19th-century Dublin.
This is a must-attend event for history enthusiasts, fans of gripping true stories, or anyone curious about the hidden scandals of the past.
