Ballycastle Library Hosts Book Launch with Local Author Dessie Smyth

Ballycastle Library is delighted to welcome local author, baker and founder of Ballycastle Community Fridge, Dessie Smyth, for the launch of his new book I’ll Rise Up on Thursday 29 May from 6:30pm to 7:45pm.

A familiar and much-loved figure in the local community, Dessie will share readings from his latest publication — a heartfelt collection of art, poetry and personal stories. Warm, creative and rooted in local life, I’ll Rise Up offers a glimpse into Dessie’s unique perspective and passion for connecting people through words and creativity.

This special event promises to be an uplifting and inspiring evening for all, whether you’re a regular library user, a supporter of the Ballycastle Community Fridge or simply curious about Dessie’s work.
