Adult Reading Group  
Second Monday of every month from 11:00am – 12 noon.
 
This group aims to allow everyone’s reading experiences to be shared and enjoyed. Participants don’t have to be library members but if you join, you can borrow the book the group will be discussing for free.

Chatterbooks Junior Reading Group  
To be held monthly on a Saturday 12 (specific dates, please contact the library) from 11:00am to 12 noon.

Booking is essential.

Chatterbooks is an exciting Junior Reading Group where children aged 7 - 11 years can come along to chat about their favourite books, enjoy fun activities and crafts and meet new friends.

Knit and Natter  

Please contact the library for dates.

A group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. Share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Bring whatever you are working on at the moment or start a new project.

Irish Language Conversation  
Ballycastle Library invites you to come along and join our weekly Irish Language Conversation group which takes place every Thursday from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.

Tea and Newspapers  
Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits.
 
Every Friday from 2:15pm - 4:30pm.

Job Club Sessions  

Weekly Job Club Sessions every Monday between 10:00am to 12 noon.

 

Come along for support and information on Department for the Economy's Career Service with weekly sessions focusing on help with a range of topics.

Admission is free and booking not required.

Lego Club  
Every Monday from 3:15pm to 4:15pm.
 
For children aged 5 - 10 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Come along to have some Lego building fun. Fun and creative ideas for things to make and build.

Rhythm and Rhyme  
Every Tuesday from 10:30am to 11:00am.

Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories.

Each session offers an entertaining opportunity for children to engage with others, provides a good foundation to develop their reading, listening and language skills and of course to have lots of fun!

Weekly every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.

Knit and Natter Groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Junior Reading Group (term time only)  

First Wednesday of the month.

Junior Reading Groups are a fun way for children to be introduced to a wide range of new books, authors and to make new friends along the way. Members are asked to read a chosen book before each meeting, which will be available to borrow for free from the library catalogue.

Pride and Prejudice - The Great Jane Austen Costume and Book Display  

To celebrate Jane Austen Day, Ballycastle Library invites you to come along and view our book display, marking one of literatures great authors. Also check out our Austin inspired outfits, proudly wore by our friendly library staff and feel free to join in the fun and dress up in your favourite Jane Austin's characters outfit.

We invite all customers and attendees of the weekly Irish Language Class to come along to our Festive Afternoon Christmas Party as we celebrate the upcoming Christmas holiday with plenty of mince pies, shortbread and Shloer on offer. 

Come along and join in the all fun.
