Cancer Awareness Sessions in Garvagh and Kilrea Libraries
Published 02 Dec 2025
Garvagh Library and Kilrea Library will each host a special cancer awareness session on Thursday 4 December as part of the Nip It in the Bud campaign in partnership with The Farming Community Network and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The sessions form part of the Rural Communities Cancer Project, which aims to bring vital information, support and resources to people living in rural areas who may be more difficult to reach. Participants will learn about the signs and symptoms of cancer, the importance of early detection and prevention, and the support available to anyone affected by cancer.
Kilrea Library will host its session from 11:00am to 12 noon while Garvagh Library will welcome visitors from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Library staff look forward to welcoming customers along to these informative sessions and encourage anyone interested to come along and find out more.
