Art On Your Doorstep collectionVisitors to Strabane Library are being invited to experience world-famous artworks on their doorstep as part of a unique partnership between the National Gallery and Derry City and Strabane District Council.

Art on Your Doorstep brings high-quality reproductions of some of the National Gallery's most celebrated paintings into communities across the council area, making art more accessible and encouraging people to engage with culture in everyday spaces.

As part of the programme, two artworks are currently on display outside Strabane Library and are free for everyone to view until 30 September.

The featured works are Exhibition of a Rhinoceros at Venice by Pietro Longhi and Ballet Dancers by Edgar Degas, one of the artist's most recognised and admired paintings.

The initiative forms part of a wider trail featuring 18 artworks displayed across six locations throughout the Derry City and Strabane District Council area, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to discover famous masterpieces in locations close to home.

Art on Your Doorstep aims to remove barriers to accessing art by bringing works from the National Gallery's collection into local communities and encouraging people to explore, learn and be inspired by some of the world's most celebrated artists.

Visitors are encouraged to call in, view the artwork and follow the wider Art on Your Doorstep trail across the council area.

The artwork display outside Strabane Library is free to view and will remain in place until 30 September.
