A woman doing Musical MeditationLibraries across Ards and North Down are inviting people to take some time out this May with a series of calming and creative events designed to support wellbeing.

In Holywood Library, visitors can unwind with a Musical Meditation session led by Scott Riley on Tuesday 12 May at 11:00am. This gentle, guided experience combines soothing sounds and mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Also in Holywood, a Botanical Wellbeing session on Saturday 16 May at 1:00pm will offer a chance to reconnect with nature through art. Led by Maurice Shannon, this guided painting session provides a relaxed space to slow down and enjoy a creative approach to wellbeing.

In Portaferry Library, a ‘Take a moment for yourself’ session on Wednesday 13 May at 11:00am, delivered in partnership with Peninsula Healthy Living, will combine a short talk with calming activities designed to help people pause and recharge.

The programme continues in Donaghadee Library, where Maurice Shannon will lead an art workshop on Thursday 21 May at 11:00am, encouraging participants to relax and express themselves through drawing and painting.

These events offer simple opportunities to step away from busy routines and spend time in a welcoming library space.
