Lisnaskea Library will host a creative Weaving Workshop on Wednesday 7 May from 10:00am to 12 noon, led by Morag Donald from Crafting Your Soul as part of the Art of Life programme. Held on Advance Care Planning Day, the workshop offers a relaxed, non-intrusive space where adults can reflect, share stories if they wish, and enjoy the soothing process of weaving. Each participant will create a small textile piece to take home.

Holocaust Talk Marks VE Day Anniversary in Recently Refurbished Killyleagh Library
Killyleagh Library will host a powerful talk by former BBC producer, historian and author Noel Russell on Friday 9 May from 1:00pm to 2:00pm to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day and the end of the Second World War. Entitled The Saved and the Spurned: Northern Ireland, Vienna and the Holocaust, the event is part of a cross-community programme organised by Killyleagh Youth and Community Association. The talk will explore the legacy of the Holocaust and Northern Ireland’s connection to this significant period in history.
