Enniskillen Library

The main Cultural Heritage collection for County Fermanagh is located in Enniskillen library and contains over 40,000 volumes relating to Irish studies and local history. In addition to the book stock the collection consists of newspapers, journals of Irish interest, maps, photographs and postcards. Newspaper archives are held on microfilm, with two self-service microfilm readers available with print facilities.

Within the main Cultural Heritage Collection there are some smaller specialist collections reflecting different aspects of life in Ireland including Military History, W. B. Yeats, Railway History, Genealogy and Heraldry. A major part of the collection includes locally published works, written by local authors and relating to County Fermanagh.

Enniskillen Library also hosts the Dundas Collection, which contains material in connection with the history of the Dundas family. The Joan Trimble Collection contains material from the library of the noted Enniskillen composer and pianist.
