📢 CUSTOMER NOTICE - Bank Holiday Closure 📢
All public libraries in Northern Ireland will be closed on the Spring Bank Holiday, Monday 26 May and Mobile Libraries will not be on the road on that date. The Out of Hours Service will remain available on 26 May in appropriate libraries. Remember that members have free access to eServices during this period. Register to become a Member.

| The Big Family Switch Off: The Great Whitehead Jigsaw Challenge |
This Mental Health Awareness Week, Whitehead Library invites you to switch off the screens and help us complete a giant 3,000-piece jigsaw puzzle! From Saturday 10th May, we’ll have the puzzle set up on two large tables in the library.
Drop in anytime during opening hours — or even pop by during out-of-hours access if you're registered — to add a few pieces. Stay for five minutes or fifty — it’s up to you! Whether you come alone for a quiet, mindful moment or bring the whole family for some relaxing screen-free fun, everyone is welcome.
It’s a chance to slow down, chat with others, or just focus in peace — one puzzle piece at a time. |

| Tea and Newspapers |
Every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30am to 12 noon. Numbers are limited, please contact branch for more details. Tea and Newspapers groups give adults the opportunity to meet new people, socialise and discuss local and national affairs in the newspapers while enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. |

| Knit and Natter |
Every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30am to 12 noon. Booking is essential as numbers are limited. Please contact staff for more details. Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new. |

| Rhythm and Rhyme |
Every Wednesday. Children attending this event must be accompanied by an adult. Booking essential. Rhythm and Rhyme sessions introduce parents and children aged 0 - 4 years to the wonder of rhymes, songs and stories. Come along for a heartwarming afternoon at Whitehead Library as we welcome beloved local figure Hanni Reinhardt, who will share the remarkable story of her life’s journey — from her early days in Copenhagen to making Whitehead her home, with many fascinating stops along the way.

The Out of Hours Service allows adults (aged 18 years and over) controlled access to Whitehead Library for an additional 34 hours per week outside of normal opening hours.
Registered members can access a limited but important range of services on a self-service basis, including broadband/Wi-Fi access, printing facilities, study space and book borrowing. To register, just call in or contact the library during normal opening hours and ask staff for details.
