CUSTOMER NOTICE - Bank Holiday Closures

All Libraries NI’s public and mobile libraries will be closed on Saturday 12, Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 July. Libraries will reopen on Wednesday 16 July. 

The Out of Hours service will be closed from Friday 11 July until Tuesday 15 July inclusive reopening on Wednesday 16 July in Out of Hours libraries.

Please remember that eServices (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eNewspapers) are available during this period, and joining online is free.

Adult Reading Groups are a great opportunity for members to join in some lively literary discussions in a relaxed, friendly environment. The groups encourage people to read for pleasure, share their enthusiasm and express opinions about books and their authors.

The group meets on a regular basis and the book the group will be discussing can be borrowed from the library catalogue for free.

Craft and Chatter  
Every Monday from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

Knit and Natter groups are for adults who enjoy knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts. They are free of charge to attend and participants have the opportunity to share hints and tips, swap patterns, meet new people and learn new skills. Members can bring along a project they are already working on or can start something new.

Weekly on Mondays from 2:15pm - 2:45pm.

Storytime sessions help children aged 4 - 8 years develop a love of books, improve their listening skills, inspire creativity and feeds their imagination. Join our friendly staff as they read popular books and introduce children to a whole range of different authors.

Big Summer Read 2025 - Crafts of the Past  

Travel to the Ancient world and design your own ancient maze. The Minotaur lived in an maze.... come along and see who can draw the best maze to keep the Minotaur from escaping. For children 4-11 years old, must be accompanied by an adult, booking advisable.

The Out of Hours Service allows adults (aged 18 years and over) controlled access to Banbridge Library for an additional 51 hours per week outside of normal opening hours.
Registered members can access a limited but important range of services on a self-service basis, including broadband/Wi-Fi access, printing facilities, study space and book borrowing. To register, just call in or contact the library during normal opening hours and ask staff for details.
