Author Anna Patrick to Share Her Journey into Print at Cookstown, Draperstown, and Limavady libraries
Published 04 Nov 2024
Libraries NI is set to welcome author Anna Patrick to three libraries during November for an insightful talk titled ‘My Journey into Print”.
The events which take place on Tuesday 19 November at 2:00pm in Cookstown Library and 6:30pm in Draperstown Library, and on Wednesday 11 November at 6:30pm in Limavady Library, will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the challenges and discoveries Anna faced in bringing her mother’s extraordinary story to readers.
Anna, author of No Going Back and its sequel After, will discuss her journey to publication and the powerful legacy her books hold. No Going Back recounts the harrowing experiences of her mother, who was arrested by the Gestapo in Poland in 1944, enduring interrogation and eventual transportation to Ravensbrück concentration camp. Combining historical fact with her mother’s memories, the book offers a deeply moving perspective on the human experience during the Second World War.
Writing her mother’s story was as much a personal quest as it was a literary endeavour. Anna will share how this journey shaped her as a writer and why she felt compelled to continue her mother’s story in After.
This FREE event is open to everyone and promises an evening of reflection, history, and inspiration.
