Heritage Week - Events in Armagh, Banbridge and CraigavonLibraries NI is inviting local communities to celebrate Heritage Week from 10 – 14 March with a fantastic lineup of events across Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon libraries. From historic exhibitions to author talks and creative showcases, these events highlight the rich cultural and architectural heritage of the area.

Author Visit: Martina Devlin Discusses the Brontës – Rathfriland Library
Tuesday 11 March 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Renowned novelist Martina Devlin will discuss her latest book Charlotte, inspired by Charlotte Brontë, and explore the Brontë family’s connection to the area. A must-attend event for literature lovers!

Heritage at Risk in the Craigavon Area – Lurgan Library
Tuesday 18 March 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Join Sebastian Graham from the Heritage at Risk Northern Ireland (HARNI) project for an insightful talk on the challenges facing our built heritage. Featuring local case studies, this session will explore how we can protect and restore historic sites for future generations.

HERoNI Pop-Up Exhibition – Lurgan Library
Throughout March (During Library Opening Hours)
Discover the fascinating Historic Environment Record NI (HERoNI) collection in this pop-up display panel exhibition. Displaying Northern Ireland’s industrial, architectural, archaeological, and maritime heritage, the exhibition includes historic drawings, surveys, and photographs, offering a unique insight into our past.
