Free Online Yoga Sessions Return with Libraries NI

Weekly Online Yoga Sessions

Libraries NI is inviting people across Northern Ireland to take time for themselves and improve their wellbeing with the return of its popular free online yoga programme.

Beginning on Tuesday 23 June, the weekly sessions will take place every Tuesday from 11:00am to 12 noon via Zoom and will be led by experienced yoga instructor Siri Meylahn.

Designed to be accessible and welcoming for all levels of experience, the sessions combine gentle movement, breath awareness and relaxation techniques to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Participants can join from the comfort of their own home and attend as many sessions as they wish throughout the programme.

The programme follows a natural progression through the seasons, helping participants build confidence, improve mobility and flexibility, develop strength and balance, and create sustainable wellbeing habits throughout the year.

Monthly themes include:

• June – Introduction to Yoga: Building Strong Foundations
• July – Moving with Ease and Vitality
• August – Open Heart, Open Mind
• September – Returning to Balance
• October – Grounding into Autumn
• November – Strength, Balance and Confidence
• December – Finding Calm During the Festive Season
• January – New Year, Fresh Intentions
• February – Re-energising and Moving Toward Spring

Yoga offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and create a sense of balance in our daily lives. These sessions are designed to be accessible for everyone, whether you are completely new to yoga or have practised before. The hope is that participants will leave each session feeling calmer, stronger and more connected to themselves.
