Libraries in Antrim and Newtownabbey Support School Uniform Reuse Scheme

Children in school uniformsLibraries in Antrim and Newtownabbey are once again proud to support the School Uniform Reuse Scheme – ‘Making Pre-Loved, Re-Loved’, helping families prepare for the new school year while promoting sustainability and reducing waste.

From Monday 2 June to Saturday 30 August 2025, Antrim, Ballyclare, Glengormley and Rathcoole Libraries will serve as designated drop-off points for gently used school uniforms from all schools in the Antrim and Newtownabbey area. Donations can be left during normal opening hours at any of the four participating libraries.

This year’s scheme is accepting all clean, good-quality items including:
•    Blazers, shirts, blouses, ties and polo shirts
•    Trousers, shorts, skirts, pinafores and summer dresses
•    Sweatshirts, jumpers and cardigans
•    School bags, coats and waterproof jackets
•    School shoes, trainers and football boots
•    P.E. Kits
