Bridget wants to play by Dearbháil LynchLocal debut children’s author Dearbháil Lynch will visit Warrenpoint Library on Saturday 26 August at 11:00am to read from her new book ‘Bridget wants to Play’.

This heart-warming tale of self-discovery, as told by Bridget the Caterpillar, has captivated the hearts of children and parents alike with beautiful illustrations by local artist Anthony Corrigan. This is a FREE event and families with young children are invited to come along to hear about some of Bridget’s adventures.

Dearbháil, who is an associate psychologist working in intellectual disability and mental health, wrote the story in 2020 and is delighted that she is now getting to share it with readers.

Karen Maginess, District Manager with Libraries NI, is keen to encourage families with young children to come along, she said:

“The book is beautifully written with vivid images that really capture the imagination and we are sure that even our youngest readers will be captivated when they hear Dearbháil bring the story to life.
