An exhibition created by Brain Injury Matters with Curator Ciaran Elizabeth Doran that explores everyone’s relationship, appreciation and importance of nature from early years, at school through to adulthood.

To mark its third anniversary, PenWyn presents an exhibition in collaboration with Flax Art Studios Belfast.
 

The exhibition showcases the breadth, creativity, and impact of the project’s co-creation activity, 
featuring a curated selection of printed and framed PenWyn works alongside a digital showreel 
highlighting many more from the nearly 600 PenWyn variations created to date.

Visit Holywood Library photographic exhibition featuring the work of Sullivan Prep School's Light Chasers Club. Their alphabetography project reveals the beauty of nature through imaginative photography.

Local artist, Jane McCaughey has an art exhibition in Saintfield library during July and August.  Why not call in and take a look.

Peter Geoghegan is a local mixed media artist who uses a variety of mediums and materials to explore a range of themes around our rural and industrial landscape. 
The figurative and semi-abstract works, explore shapes, patterns and colours present in both the built and rural landscapes.

The Sam Thompson Archive normally held in Belfast Central Library, provides a vivid snapshot of the man and his times. An important collection of manuscripts and typescripts, it is complemented by the correspondence, photographs and scrapbooks.

The exhibition will be available during library opening hours throughout August.

Come along and view the travelling exhibition at Falls Road library designed to explore and celebrate the often overlooked stories of Black Heritage in Northern Ireland.  The exhibition highlights the vital contributions, lived experiences and cultural narratives that have helped shape communities across the region.

Mike Nixon is a neurodiverse artist (brain damaged following an accident) who has been working on some new cartoon style illustrations and single line drawings and has also included a few old paintings.

Do you know your blackbirds from your bullfinches? 
Have you spotted birds around the library or nearby in Ward Park? 
Using bird identification apps recommended by the RSPB, such as Merlin Bird ID, help us build a community record of the birds living around us. Add your sightings to our display board and see which species are most commonly spotted!

Come along to Killyleagh Library where local artist Rosalind Murphy will be displaying her latest works. Rosalind is an award-winning painter and member of the Ulster Watercolour Society whose work explores the interplay between light, mood, and nature. An exhibition of etchings and prints by Josephine McCormick

“A landmark is more than a point on a map; it is a collision of memory and physical space.” In this exhibition, Josephine explores landmarks as both geographical features of Northern Ireland that anchor our world and the quiet, internal shifts that define our lives. Her work serves “as a personal cartography, inviting viewers to reflect on the markers—both stone and spiritual—that have shaped their own journeys."

The Causeway Museum World of Stories Exhibition will be available to view throughout September in Limavady Library.

An exhibition of paintings, drawings, printmaking, pressed plants and found objects that merge the beauty and science of botany, horticulture and art. 

For almost 200 years Belfast Botanic Gardens has been the heart of horticulture in the city. From exotic plants native to deep Amazonian jungles to ornate Victorian bedding displays, the history is rich. 

This exhibition explores these themes through a variety of media to express how the subject moves the artist. From detailed botanical illustrations and pressed plants to visceral oil paintings showing the motions of time and seasons, plants in their glass landscape or vistas across the gardens.

The Holywood District u3a History Archive Group’s exhibition on shops in Holywood from the 1950s to the 2020s will be on display at Holywood Library. Visitors can view a series of display boards featuring photographs, newspaper coverage and accompanying items of memorabilia.

A fascinating display of reproduced artworks on canvas by David Z. Crookes exploring alternative realities. Featuring striking pieces such as Giant’s Causeway, Facial Portrait, Ballerina, and Ezekiel’s Vision (Wheels and Cubes). The exhibition invites viewers to see familiar forms in unexpected ways.
