Libraries NI celebrates Good Relations Week with Togetherness Events
Published 06 Sept 2023
From Monday 18 September to Saturday 23 September 2023, there will be a series of free events taking place in libraries across Northern Ireland.
The theme for this year’s Good Relations Week is ‘Together’, shining a light on individuals and organisations working together and sharing ideas and experiences to tackle inequality.
Libraries offer unique community spaces that are open to all members of the public and they are ideal places for people to connect with new experiences and to learn about others.
An African Drumming Circle event in Antrim Library is just one of the events that will focus on bringing people together in their own communities
Commenting on Good Relations Week, Dr Jim O’Hagan, Libraries NI Chief Executive said:
“I look forward to Good Relations Week coming round in the calendar of Libraries NI as it always emphasises the valuable work that goes on in libraries every week to support people in their own communities. Despite a difficult backdrop of financial constraints, Libraries NI staff working with partner organisations have developed a series of events offering a wide variety of activities and learning opportunities.”
