An exhibition created by Brain Injury Matters with Curator Ciaran Elizabeth Doran that explores everyone’s relationship, appreciation and importance of nature from early years, at school through to adulthood.

Local artist and poet Nigel Killops has always admired the work of the French Impressionists and from the Twentieth Century the American artist Norman Rockwell. A fascination with people either singularly or in groups, at work or at play has been a lasting theme. In this exhibition of works in pastel and pencil you may recognise the familiar - a youthful Hillary Clinton, studious stargazer Patrick Moore, tennis star Emma Raducanu and television’s Holly Willoughby amongst others.

The Holywood District u3a History Archive Group’s exhibition on shops in Holywood from the 1950s to the 2020s will be on display at Holywood Library. Visitors can view a series of display boards featuring photographs, newspaper coverage and accompanying items of memorabilia.

An audio-visual exhibition from the British Library on Tour programme is coming to Belfast Central Library this October and November. This unique, custom-built interactive display features digitised archives of Jonathan Swift’s classic masterpiece, Gulliver’s Travels, directly from the British Library collections.
‘Gullivers Travels’ celebrates 300 years since its publication in 1726 and was written by Irish writer Jonathan Swift. A book that is read by children and adults alike, this exhibition can be enjoyed by everybody.

FGB is a self-taught street artist currently based in Belfast, where he's been redecorating the city—legally and otherwise—for over two decades. His work transforms walls into bold, thought-provoking canvases, offering up social commentary with a side of wit. Starting out in the early days of the street art movement, FGB cut his teeth on group shows and city walls, helping shape a scene that now spans continents. In 2020, he took the plunge, leaving the 9-to-5 world behind to fully commit to a life of spray paint, scaffolding, and questionable ladder choices. FGB’s style is a visual mash-up of urban life, political edge, and whatever weird ideas kept him awake the night before. Drawing from pop art and city life, his work invites viewers to pause and reflect on the world around them. Whether on a wall or in a gallery, FGB continues to blur the line between public space and personal expression.

"The Colour of Water" is an exhibition of 20 new abstract landscape and seascape images along the coast of South Down by local photographer Simon McIlwaine. As a lens-based artist, Simon focuses on the natural form and beauty that underlies the dominant subject matter, unveiling aspects of the scene that would not otherwise be apparent. This is achieved by using a number of artistic in-camera capture techniques to create unique compositions while maintaining the true organic spirit of the natural elements.

The Sloane's Local History Group War Memorial exhibition will be on display at Killyleagh Library from Tuesday 3rd November until Saturday 28th November, this annual exhibition is to honour the fallen and veterans of WWI, WWII, and the Falkland's War and can be viewed during library opening hours.

During the month of November, Cushendall library will host the exhibit of Francis Joseph Bigger. This exhibit marks the centenary of the death of Francis Joseph Bigger and illustrates his life and interests, including archaeology, language, history, music and the wider Irish cultural revival.

"Welcome to the Table" is a participatory visual project by Belfast Design Week in collaboration with Belfast School of Art and explores belonging, third-culture identity and cultural exchange through food, table settings and shared meal rituals. Emerging designers co-create table environments inspired by different cultures, each table expressing heritage, traditions, rituals and contemporary habits.

Rooted in the idea that identity is shaped by lived experience, creativity, migration and memory, the project uses designed tableware, surfaces, vessels and place settings to invite audiences to experience and share different cultures.

In our Late Night Art Showcase ahead of Irish Design Week 2026, The Product Design students from Foundation Studies Art and Design explored the eating experience through designing tableware in an exercise of reimagining traditional eating tools that enhance the users’ sensory involvement with food.

As Belfast expanded westward a Presbyterian congregation was established in the Falls district, becoming known as Albert street Presbyterian Church.  It served the area until 1971 when circumstances led to it’s closure.  This exhibition and the talk which accompanies it will tell the story of the congregation’s commitment to the area for over a century and illustrates how An Tionólann, re-engages with West Belfast as a direct link to what is for many a forgotten history. With an introduction from local historian Tom Hartley.

Discover the intricate pen drawings of local artist Patrick Boullier in Sacred Geometry, an exhibition exploring the connections between art, mathematics, mythology and spirituality.

Drawing inspiration from ancient symbolism, geometric patterns and the natural world, Patrick creates richly detailed black-and-white artworks in which every line and symbol carries meaning.
